Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze at Jaemor Farms

Pumpkin Patch at Jaemor Farms

This past weekend we went to Jaemor Farms in Alto, Georgia to do our fall “bucket list” items- a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayride. I’ll never be too old for a good corn maze or pumpkin patch- I love to do all of my favorite fall things every year! We already went apple picking in Ellijay, but we hadn’t done any other fall things yet!

Finding the Best Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze Near Atlanta

I used my Georgia fall guide to look through farms with corn mazes and pumpkin patches, and narrowed it down to Jaemor Farms after reading the great reviews online.

Jaemor Farms has a lot of activities, including a small petting farm, giant corn maze, flower patch for picking flowers, pumpkin patch (note that this is a real pumpkin patch where you actually pick your pumpkin!), hayride, and a few games for children.

Planning our Day at Jaemor Farms

We were worried about crowds (and honestly running late) so we ended up at the farm around 4 PM, which was perfect to get the last of the late-afternoon sun with fewer people around. It’s about an hour drive from Atlanta, which isn’t ideal, but almost all the farms with pumpkin patcches and corn mazes are about the same distance from the city.

Admission was only $15 and included everything but the flower picking, and you can upgrade $5 to include that as well. Pumpkin prices aren’t included in the admission price, but if you upgrade to the flowers, the cost of the flowers that you pick are included.

There is also a large market right on-site, where you can buy pumpkins, apples, and other fun fall things. I was excited because there is also a kettle corn stand outside and an ice cream parlor inside, which had dole whip! I was so thrilled about that, haha! It was a toss up for which snack I was most excited about- fresh, real kettle corn is one of my favorites, and dole whip is so hard to find outside of Disney…I ended up getting both. 🙂

We started with the corn maze, then did the pumpkin patch and market, and ended with the hayride after the line had lessened. The corn maze is very large- we spent about an hour in there and later realized we barely made it through half- it’s that big!

I was excited for the pumpkin patch the most- it’s been hard to find “real ones” around Atlanta that aren’t just a stack of pumpkins, and this one had beautiful views of the Georgia mountains. We took our time doing everything so we skipped the flower patch, but I kind of regret it because it looked so fun! To be honest, we didn’t realize it was there until later- next time I would aim to show up earlier so I could do that also.

We ended our day by taking our pumpkins home, carving them, roasting pumpkin seeds, and watching Hocus Pocus- it was the perfect fall day! I would definitely go back to Jaemor Farms next year- the price is reasonable, they have all the fall activities you would want, and the farm market with great sweets was high on my list! 🙂
